I only have two things to comment. Does Bob Ross give you a Lukus Ridgeton vibe too? And I have been arounds my far share of Rich people and I found all but one sickening. I adopted him as a father figure. He's resting comfortably.
And as for the rich and famous, I’ve worked with quite a few and only become friendly with a handful. The worst? Ross Perot. The best? Sam Elliott. Those two represent the worst and best of mankind in my book. :-)
I hear Bob Ross, despite becoming wealthy later in life, was a decent guy too.
elon musk (no capitalization as that denotes a proper noun, which he is not) having all the self-awareness to make a post where he claims George Soros is buying up radio stations to further his propaganda network. This after he bought Twitter to grease the wheels of 45’s propaganda network, the likes of which have not been seen since Goebbels
If Marmalade Jesus hadn't killed irony, I would point out how writing on this topic on the anniversary of Black Tuesday was *chef's kiss!*
Are there any good rich? Well, I don't have to agree with him on everything to think Mark Cuban might qualify. His prescription drug idea CAN be a godsend to lots of Americans. I used to think Warren Buffett, but way too many stock buy-backs instead of employee benefits have changed my mind on that.
Bezos' ex-wife seems to be targeting her fortune to my favorite causes & Melinda Gates still gets credit for their African health initiatives.
The "tell" I've decided is publicity. If you're constantly in the headlines about your "charity," I have strong doubts about its effectiveness. The "good rich" don't need the rest of us to validate them on a regular basis. They stay in the background, not just giving to causes, but organizing giving programs to get the most out of the dollars they spend.
So, yeah, there are some out there, but the less I know about them, the better they probably are.
Marmalade Jesus?!? Cue "Wind Beneath My Wings" as I've never heard that one. hahahaha
I do call his cult of personality the Insane KKKool-Aid Klown Posse. Though I should be nice as the actual band has endorsed common sense.
Didn't see the connection between Black Tuesday and my post. I was mostly pissed about Bezos, Musk, Combs, and the A&F douchebag. So I wrote about them...and the other trash.
Having worked with tons of celebrities over the years, I'm totally with you on the "if you do it for publicity, you're doing it for the wrong reason." SOME publicity can help the cause/charity but if it's just for ego...ZUCK that.
And zuck Zuckerberg too. He's definitely on my shit list.
Isn't the current version of Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous that obscene Beverly Hills realtors show? I call it capitalist porn. It's like ruin porn, which is what all those mansions will be after the coming great collapse.
Lol. You had me with the title. Great idea for another non-reality show engineered to make a few Hollywood asshats rich. But aren't we already watching that show?
Uh huh…been living inside it for far too many years. Hoping the reign will end sooner than later. Some people aren’t even good enough for Soylent Green. But they would fit in nicely six feet under…a golf course. lol
My mom loved him.She thought he was God. In her senior years he taught her to paint. Almost. I thought he was a Mr. Rogers knock-off with a paintbrush.
Like Mr. Rogers, I think both men were the real deal. Cut from very different cloths, they each brought some humanity and much-needed sweetness to tv. Maybe too sweet for some, but ultimately net positives for the human race in my book. (For the record, I didn't like Mr. Rogers as a kid. Anyone that obsessed with sweaters was up to no good. lol)

I can totally see that vibe, Craig.

Didn’t you know it’s only “propaganda” if you disagree with it? lol
These wannabe fascists all need to invest in Fleet…cuz they’re mentally and physically constipated. Emphasis on the CON.

YUP. I quit FB YEARS AGO — long before Elon even showed up.

That and those “Real” Housewive shows. Nope. Not my cup of tea. I watch trash, but not from those dumpster fires.

BOB ROSS!!!!?????!!!!! My oh my...
Riiiiight?! He was so handsome. The permed fro was never my thing, but I always enjoyed his show. Even if I didn’t love his art. Good vibes.

For reals. Forget sweaters unless you're Lana Turner.
Or Ed Wood. Angora works for some guys.
