It’s mid-September here in Southern California. The calendar may say “fall,” but the forecast says “LOL, no.” Mornings start off cool enough to trick you into grabbing a jacket. But by lunchtime, it’s HOT. I do not approve.
Summer is clinging on for dear life, blasting us with hot air like a politician on the campaign trail. Meanwhile, I’m over here rooting for the underdog. Come on, Fall! Bring on the crisp mornings, the gentler light, and that first evening cool enough to swap my ceiling fan and mini-split AC for open windows and fresh air.
There’s something magical about that moment when the seasons finally shift. The air smells different, my mood changes, and everything feels like a mini reset. I’m ready.
And since it’s Sunday, I’m leaning into that reset energy: a few stretches, a little meditation, a good book, and maybe a slow walk before it gets too hot. Later, I’m heading out to cuss and discuss tech stuff with friends. Yes, I’m a big nerd. 🤓
How about you? What’s on your Sunday-Fun Day agenda?
Thank you for being a friend!

PORTRAIT + QUOTE OF THE DAY
“It is exhausting living in a population where people don't speak up if what they witness doesn't directly threaten them.”
David Wojnarowicz

Well...Clint it's getting into late summer here just now and it's cold enough at evening to put my house heating on for a few hours brrrr It's also been wett/stormy too and the rain is needed due to the water shortage. I'll post a few more UT clips about strong independent older folks. I hope you and other Collide Press users find them life enhancing too. The Chanel owner also covers guys too. Cheers DougT 🇫🇴 🇬🇧
Love this Wojnarowicz quote...I'm feeling his exhaustion 😣
