I was thinking about Meat Loaf the other day on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Memories all started rolling back! Frank-n-Furter pulls away the dining table linen to reveal Eddie’s corpse to the horrified guests, and we the audience all shouted “Meatloaf AGAIN?!” Good times, good times.
Thanks, Terry. I love Meatloaf. Years ago, some clients were making a low-budget film that he was in and I had the chance to spend an afternoon on set with him. Whatta fun storyteller. Turns out we’re both from Dallas and grew up in the similar parts of town. Cheers!
Half the battle is realizing that “urgent” is usually someone else’s label, not ours. Turning off most notifications was the best thing I ever did for my sanity, even if it means I miss a few pings. Peace of mind is worth more than inbox zero. ✨📱 P.S. thanks for sharing my latest post 💙
Sure thing, Gino. Your posts are timely and timeless. Keep up the great work. And keep those notifications under control. Peace of mind is definitely worth more than an empty inbox. Cheers!
Clint, luckily I retired before the emphasis of being a slave to tech became the normal 😎 but it's all horses for courses I know especially in your position of earning a crust. I just rely(?) on Android devices. There was a time I was receiving lotssss of spam and unwelcome email but I found tips on settings on YouTube and now it works my way not Android/Google/Yahoo's way 😎 A lot of folks can get intimidated at all the settings ⚙️ and don't know what they do, or alter. Hopefully if and when I update to newer OS's the settings will transfer ok. If not I have saved most of the tecky clips I used. In my working life I used Microsoft devices and always posted a polite notification when on leave etc saying it would be dealt with on my return. In UK we get lots of leave/holidays 👍 Of course I was salaried not self employed or commissioned so it was easier to ignore notifications and pings 😎 Cheers DougT 🇫🇴🇬🇧
Oh, Doug, I love how you turn a phrase: “Earning a crust” about covers me, myself, and I. But I’ve had so much pie over the years, I could do with a little less filling. :-p
As for all these operating systems, they do make my head hurt sometimes. I just want my tech to work…luckily it mostly does! Cheers, my dears.
I use the "Do Not Disturb" setting almost every day. It's good to get a break, particularly if I'm meditating. (I'm working on doing that at least once a day.) Carry on! (And thank you!)
Meditation is a good practice. If only my monkey mind would be quiet. Like my notifications, I’m struggling with all the noise. But getting better. Thanks, David!
For me, the monkey mind is inevitable. But as I make a little time each day, it's getting better. With what's going on in the world today, I require this time for myself to "recharge" to stand strong against evil. I thank you for being a part of my recharge.
Thanks Clint and Happy Birthday Meat Loaf 🎵🎹
Thank you, Steve…and cheers, my dears!

This is great advice my friend! One that I need to learn!
You, me, and most people we know, my dear. Inch by inch. And bird by bird. :-*
Words of wisdom.
Thank you, Clark. Cheers!

Thank you for the gentle reminder, David, that consistency is the key. And that recharging before charging ahead is key to success. Cheers!
