Clint, just spent two hours with Christmas in Tuna, great way to spend a Christmas Eve. Laughed a lot. Thanks for the intro. Fondly Michael.

I saw Tuna (I don't recall the exact title) in SF. It would have been 1981 or perhaps 1989. Hilarious and in a small theatre it was quite immersive. My concept of home is where I am, whenever and wherever it is. I will look forward to watching Tuna Christmas at my leisure. so I thank you.

“Homesickness does not always mean you want to go back. Sometimes it just means you are honoring where you came from, while choosing who you get to be now.”

This part resonates with me especially as I age and decide it’s okay to let go of some notions and people in my life. Not being revisionist or acquiescing, but acknowledging and moving on—Marie Kondo style, because some of it doesn’t fit or suit me anymore.

Thank you for articulating that so well, Nerd. 😊

Started "Tuna Christmas" love it, love its sacrilegious! Hope your holiday meets more than your exceptions. (How is that for skirting the possibilities?)

Fondly, Michael

The Tuna Christmas special is so excellent. I'm from NC originally, but it still resonates. Particularly the family dynamics. Genius actors and writing. Thanks!

Ya do it your way Clint. Me, I'm a true hearted Bah Humbug type of guy (many reasons why) but wasn't always so. Like you I escaped from small town distopia and found my freedom in the big wide world and have no intention of winding back the clock. I only returned for very short visits when I had to. A couple of days ago I saw a YT from someone 🏳‍🌈 who had escaped the self same town and he was returning to say his final farewell to his recently departed father and scatter his ashes. Hearing the YT'r reacting to the town and his memories reinforced my belief I did the right thing in making a life of my own making and to hell with anyone's opinions/thoughts but my own. There is more to this story of course but it's the time of year to let sleeping dogs lay. So my friend Clint I hope you have a great holiday and your ⭐⭐ shine in 2026. Love and peace DougT 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

Allowing the ghosts and memories to swirl around us at this time of year is part of what makes Christmas special, good, bad or sad they all have their places.
