A few weeks ago, I moved my computer and desk out of the kitchen and into the main room of my studio apartment. What a game-changer! I’ve been so much happier and way more productive since the move.
When you work for yourself, it’s not just about loving what you do; it’s also about loving where you do it.
Since that change, I have been on a mission to fine-tune my own private mission control: sliding the monitor a few inches here, nudging my video rig a few inches there, and constantly tinkering until everything feels just right.
Last night, I made an addition to my studio that feels like a total upgrade: I added a pull-up white background behind me. It’s such a simple change, but it makes my streaming setup look brighter, cleaner, and less distracting. It’s also reducing my stress about how clean or messy my place is. (Note: Bless my mess…all of it!)
It’s amazing how small adjustments can add up over time. Each makes the space feel more comfortable, more me, and an even better place to collect, create, and curate.
I’m excited to see how today’s “Happy Hour” stream looks with the new setup—and to hang out and meet up with some of you. Boos madantory. Booze optional.
Keep calm and carry on…IT’S FRIDAY!
