Remember Bayard Rustin, a man close to MLK Jr., who organized the March on Washington, and was basically erased from history because he was gay. We are everywhere.
Thank you for reminding us to remember Mr. Rustin. A true pioneer and personal hero. I think it’s about time for me to do a video about him. Or at least get started. Cheers, David!
Some say MLK could have been elected president. Whatever, I was watching the campaign rally when RFK was assassinated. Literally saw him murdered. Think I was home on leave from the Navy, think maybe I was too young to vote for him, but wanted to. Two towers fell. Thank you, Dulles brothers, for your kindness in teaching George Carlin what to say in his rants about our reality. That was meant sort-of sarcastically. Wall. Handwriting. Gotta get up each day and carry on the best we can. Corragio!
“Two towers fell.” Wow. It all happened a few years before I entered the world…and yet even I know the impact both men made on our country. Imagine what a different world we might be living in if they had lived. Cheers, Clarke…thank you for always being a friend!
Here in Atlanta - hometown of his , even his daughter Bernice suggests that many have strayed. So much crime here and murder especially with the hip hop recording industry
Right now a 16 year old is wanted - extremely life threatening and too dangerous to approach
Sad - this is common here
I be don’t have a direct answer
I try to support but am finding it is not wanted - relations between are very strained
Sad
You would think 60 or so years would help , insone instances yes , but in many no
Millinials ( I asked a few ) who is John Kennedy or King
Don’t know
Hate will always be here as well an Ggood
Just have to tip the scales in the best right direction
Hate is indeed everywhere. And those who know only hate without hope are bound to continue the cycle of destruction and sadness. My dreams (when they don’t include Kanye) give me hope…and a sense of interconnectedness too. Keep hope ALIVE, Paul. And as Oliver Stone autographed to me, “Best wishes for peace.”
Carry You by Melissa Giges https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU9ex3SZvBw 👄💋
Rock me to sleep
Whisper sweetly to me
I will fall into a dream
There is nothing but hope for you and me
I can be a believer
I can be a dreamer
You will be the calm in my soul
And I will carry you across this broken road
I will stay awake for you babe
If you will take away this pain
Then you ask who else can I be
Then you really don't know me
Lovely song, Steve. Thanks for sharing!

You're a gem, Clint. I think I've learned more about my history from you, than from anyone or anywhere else.
Thanks Clint. Yes, mixed emotions on MLK's day even as trump refuses to celebrate it!
Fondly, Michael
Mixed emotions indeed, Michael. Thank you for being a friend…cheers!
Hear, Hear!! Well said, Clint!
Thank you, dear Larry…cheers! 🌈✌️

Reality ?

Hope abounds for everyone
I hope …
Hope is needed now more than ever. I am working with you to tip the scales.🙏🏼
Excellent !
That’ll build character and you’ll do some kind of good !
Good luck in this pursuit !
Most people will just let it be
Complacency is this countries enemy
King had his problems (affairs , etc )and his children have made 10s of millions off his papers etc
They’ve even sued each other recently over the money
Crazy
But king did have a dream
Most of his followers couldnt care anymore - unless there is sone payoff
Be safe out there snd take care
