I've been so busy lately that I've barely even scanned your posts nor heard any of the music links you included, for which I apologize. That said, I simply could not pass up "Sail Away" from this post. David Gray is one of my favorite singers and this song is unforgettable, so once again I'm indebted to you for finding another "out of sight, out of mind" song.
No apologies necessary, David. Life is hectic and what I write isn’t meant to be homework. There will be no pop quizzes or tests. Glad you enjoy Mr. Gray too. Years ago, a friend invited me to attend one of his shows, and I was amazed at how personal and poignant his performance felt…even in an outdoor amphitheater with nearly 2,000 other people. :-)
Also of course in the FYC section about birthday corn I had/have an old friend who enjoyed cannabis as a relaxant for his HIV so birthdays/Christmas were easy to buy for 😎👍Me, it's not my thing at all but I'm non judgemental about it. Cheers DougT 🇫🇴🇬🇧
I was around 45 when I first experienced the benefits of THC. As a lifelong insomniac, it’s been mostly effective in helping me get and stay asleep. Boy I wish I had given it a try before. I love me some edibles! Cheers, my dears…
Oops THAT kind of cruising ISN'T for me, no way Jose but my brother and SIL love their cruises. They are due to take 2 in 2026. The Caribbean fly cruise in late summer 2026 is to mark their 60th wedding anniversary! Now when I get home from the local bodega (the pub) I have an ace Richard YT to send you.....a bit apt! No cruising for you, dear Doug? Color me shocked. But not mad. The rocking ship at sea thing isn’t for everyone. This is only my third crew, so the jury is still out. I’m not a fan of wearing pants, so even business casual dinners are not my cup of tea. We’ll see how many I end up going to with the rest of my party. The pizzeria is open to 2am or so most nights. lol
Nope Clint, it's not the oceans motions that put me off, after all my dad was a Royal Navy seaman, it's just that I don't think I would like to be couped up on a ship with others 24/7 However as my brother says cruise ships these days are large, at sea days are down to a minimum, so if I was gifted a cruise, maybe, just maybe 🤔 Cheers DougT
Ohhhh…I see. The two previous were truly huge, with over 3,000 passengers and 1,000 crew members. The one I’m taking this week? Its capacity is 4,900 passengers and 1,500 and has so many bars, restaurants, stores, and venues in it, it’s practically a city on the sea. If you need me, I’ll be hanging out in the spa. Me and my adopted nephew will be enjoying the heated chaises and aromatherapy daily in the co-ed chill suite. :-)
