Wow, can I relate. I spent decades trying to find the right schedule so I could be one of those magnificent people with flawless discipline. Aside from showing up at work on the regular, nothing else in my life fit a schedule. Probably something astrological, if you give that any weight. Taoist going with the flow seems to work best for such as we.

It’s taken me a little over 50 years, but I think I’m finally starting to feel comfortable with doing it my own way. I sometimes compare my way to others’. But I also realize I only do what I wanna do, when I wanna do it. For better and worse! :-p Cheers, Clarke!

All the various ways I was different from others let to oceans of comparing myself to them. I don't doubt you had a spate of that for some time. Takes a while to overcome, doesn't it? Respecto (a Spanglish word indicating "I respect you.").

Respecto! 🌈✌️

Clint, Your "consistently inconsistent” is probably the answer. I have adopted a number of sound bites for myself, some are polar opposites: Minamal Maximalist or Maximal MInimalist, I make sense out of nonsense, and from La Cage aux Folle, "I am what I am"! Fondly, Michael

“We are what we are!” indeed, dear Michael. My collections are slowly taking shape in their new home. Once everything finds its place, I might be sharing more too. Cheers!

Clint, I would love to feature your collections on my Thursday Collections Posts. Fondly, Michael

Not sure how well they’d translate. If you’re familiar with the Barnes Collection in Philadelphia, I tend to mix and match things in a way that only really makes sense to me. In case you’re not familiar with the Barnes Collection, I highly recommend “Art of the Steal,” the 2009 doc about how it ended up being moved. I will definitely check it out. Thanks for the referal. Regarding your “stuff”, the mixing and matching is what makes the “stuff” yours and what makes it unique and interesting, so doesn’t matter how well they’d translate! Fondly, Michael

Clint...no secret here, I just go with the flow, housekeeping etc.....well it will get done....sometimes/sometime soon. After all be yourself..... they'll adapt. Of course living, as I do, in a solo Ivory Tower helps 😝😎 Also a Quintine Crisp mindset of let a layer of dust settle, then you won't see the rest. 😜 Now sit back, brew some tea/coffee grab the bag of 🍩🍩🍩 and relax. Cheers to one and all DougT 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧
