Despite the current CDC recommendations—because really…what the actual fuck does RFK Jr. know about anything besides being a rich piece of shit?—I quarantined myself for the last couple of days.
With no symptoms and another negative COVID test under my belt, I think it’s time to rejoin the living. First stop? The cardiologist for some test results. I sure know how to celebrate, don’t I? What can I say? The appointment took me two months to get. So I am glad I can finally find out how my ticker is doing.
During my little self-imposed lockdown, I went full goblin mode behind-the-scenes on my Substack and YouTube channel. Nothing most people would notice, but the devil’s always in the details. I’ve been making small changes that I hope will make both easier and more fun to use.
On YouTube, that meant digging into my archives and re-publishing a bunch of older shorts and videos I had previously unlisted. The prevailing advice was to hide less successful content. Which made sense when I was uploading at least one video a day. These days, I’m lucky if I manage one a week.
Unsurprisingly, the channel hasn’t been growing the way it used to.
But here’s the good news: with just a few small adjustments, things seem back on track. And this morning, I woke up to a new milestone: 7.5 million views!
MY NEXT MILESTONE? 20K SUBSCRIBERS!!!
I’m sitting at 19,531 right now. So please feel free to share my channel with your dears, nears, and queers. Thank you!
Being free to go out in public again and hitting a channel milestone may not be the kind of wins that make headlines, but they are wins all the same.
And in this crazy, upside-down world, I choose to celebrate the small victories right alongside the big ones.
For me, “back to life, back to reality” means showing up, keeping at it, and doing whatever we can to make a positive impact in the world—no matter what RFK Jr. or the rest of Chump’s Circus of Swamp Monsters think or do.
Keep calm and keep color outside the lines!
