Well Manchester was the second city to host Pride Events in UK after London and it all started at the time HIV/Aids was starting to affect the π population in Manchester. Certain π bar owners and π business's formed a charity The Village Charity to raise funds for affected guys and now that work is the foundation of the π support services in the City. One year early on the charity did get some of the memorial quilts (remember those?) to lead the parade and I got to help carry the quilts, an honour at the time. Google The Village Charity it explains the early days before it became a party weekend.
Flexibility; square pegs, round holes. Plans and spaces are in your head but inanimate objects have their own plans. Their ideas are solid, inflexibe, rigid. It is not in their nature to adapt or compromise. You as a living creature must make the changes in your plans.
There you have it Clint, you've gotta break many eggs to make a good omelette πππ either that or go to your IKEA store and study their fantasy(?) 30/40/+ square metre studio/small space apartment mock ups. Cheers DougT π«π΄π¬π§
Mmmmmβ¦omelettes. And IKEA! Once I get my new kitchenette fully set up, Iβll be making an omelet or three and IKEA might happen today. Although itβs the busiest day there. TBD. But I do love strolling through for inspiration.
And spotting the π couples/singles. Sundays the busiest day at IKEA here. This weekend is also the Manchester π pride weekend. It's the last public holiday too before the decent into winter and Christmas seasons. Google Manchester Pride 2025 I'm sure there will be posts already and Ticky Toccy too!

Ain't that the triple truth (or my mama's middle name wasn't Ruth)? Thank you for sharing your perspective and wise counsel, dear one.

Old and wise because of many previous lifetimes.
I push back on "old" but do sense you've been around a block/universe a time or three. Keep shining your light, Mr. Lightbown! :-*
