One of my favorite things to do is visit museums with dears, nears, and/or queers who think they don’t know, like, or understand art.
There’s something joyful about watching someone who insists they “don’t get it” slowly realize they actually do.
The truth is, art is often taught by pedantic people who forget that while art history deals in context, technique, and timelines, art itself is about expression and feeling. It’s emotional. It’s subjective. It’s personal.
You don’t need a degree to know what moves you.
When people are encouraged to simply like what they like, something beautiful happens. They breathe a sigh of relief when they realize art doesn’t have to be homework. And that there won’t be any tests.
In my experience, almost everyone finds at least one piece they’re drawn to—a painting, sculpture, or photograph—that speaks to them in a way they can’t quite explain. And just like that…a new art lover is born.
Sometimes it’s a whisper. Sometimes it’s a thunderclap. Either way, that connection is the spark that keeps art alive and creativity contagious.
So whether you’re here for artistic beefcake photos, creative vintage snapshots, or just to soak in the art and beauty of men in all their many forms—like what you like, and make no apologies for it.
Appreciation is where the magic begins.
Let’s get this Sunday Fun Day started!

P.S. I’ll be joining Jerry Portwood from The Queer Love Project on Substack Live today—at 10am Pacific and 1pm Eastern—to discuss Queer Lens, a recent photo exhibition at Getty Center. Hope to see some of you in the chat.
