It’s been almost two months since my move, and I still haven’t finished unpacking or setting up my new place. The big stuff—appliances, furniture, and tech—is all good. But the little things? Not so much. And the longer most of my stuff stays in bags and boxes, the more out of sorts I feel.
So today I’m bringing back an old ritual I’ve missed: Studio Saturdays.
Studio Saturdays started as a way of carving out time for both my creative well and wellness. Some days that meant reorganizing tools or curling up with a book. Other days it meant tidying, decluttering, or simply sitting in the space and daydreaming about what I wanted to make next.
Studio Saturdays are standing dates with myself, a time to refill the well, clear my head, and reconnect with my work without distractions.
When I started moving, Studio Saturdays were the first thing to go. Packing, paperwork, and logistics took over. Weekends blurred into weekdays. Creativity became something I squeezed in instead of something I made space for.
Today, though, I’m easing back into that rhythm and ritual.
My plan isn’t glamorous: cleaning and decorating the apartment, sorting through boxes in the garage, and slowly turning this tiny house into a home. But it’s exactly what I need to find a work-life balance and get my creative mojo back on track.
It finally feels like I’m returning to my regularly-scheduled program. YAY!!!
Thank you for being here (and queer), my dear…

Clint, unlike you I'm not having a productive Saturday, the stormy weather's keeping me in the Ivory Tower and I'm having a binge on YT, mostly music, vids. However I did find this poster guy and this clip from him. Dang the lady is........(Add your own adjectives) I bet she was so special to the ones in her life too. I have an aunt Mona who this lady reminds me off.
